Welcome to Robot Viking!

Beware the baleful gaze of the Robot Viking.

I am proud to introduce Robot Viking, a new blog focused on tabletop gaming. From old standbys like Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons or HeroClix, to newer games like Monsterpocalypse or slightly obscure RPGs like CthulhuTech, we’ll offer reviews, strategy guides and exclusive previews of upcoming releases.

Our goal at Robot Viking is to offer gamers something fun and interesting every weekday, whether it’s a game review, strategy article or a photo gallery of some sweet miniatures. While we will focus on games with a fantasy, sci-fi or horror theme, we’ll also have some coverage of war games and board games. If dice, cards and pencils are involved, we’re interested. So bookmark Robot Viking and stop by every day to see what’s new in the world of gaming, and register to be a commenter so you can debate your favorite edition of D&D with your fellow gamers. Just watch out for the Robot Viking. We’re not sure who built him, and we lost the instruction manual.
Managing Editor Ed Grabianowski is a freelance writer for HowStuffWorks.com and io9.com, writing about science, technology, gaming and other fun stuff. His most important credential – a life spent gaming, including hexes-and-chits war games, pen-and-paper RPGs, miniatures games (clicking or non-clicking) and way too many card games (including one top 8 finish at a Magic: the Gathering Pro Tour Qualifier).
