I would love to get into this game, but I'm a cheap ass, and so are my friends. there's no way that we'd spend enough to even make a game like this appear balanced. Which makes me sad. but we're doing fine with the non collectable nerd games, so I guess I'll just take what I can get.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the clarification, capnfrank.

Perhaps we got a re-sealed case of the Monster boosters, then. I do note that we got at least one of each of the buildings in our Unit booster case. Good to know that a case of Rise Monster boosters is supposed to have one of each monster/ultra.

If you bought a case of Monsters from the Rise set you got all 12 and a case of Units got all 9 buildings with 3 duplicates, plus 1 of each rare, 1-2 uncommon and 1-3 commons - on average.
It sounds like they have become more standardizied on the units, kind of like WOTC did with the D&D minis after their 2nd or 3rd release.

Loving the sneak peeks at Monsterpocalypse, which is quickly becoming the game of choice for my gaming group.

I'm a little confused, though, as Erik Yaple suggests buying a case of Series 2 monster boosters will result in one of each monster/ultra plus one of each monument. Currently, cases of unit and monster boosters are random, from my experience.

Has Privateer removed the random element and decided to standardize what comes out of each case of monster and unit boosters?
