Star Wars Miniatures Preview – Leia, Bounty Hunter
Oh, Leia, even under all those layers and Boushh’s old mask, and even though you spoke perfect Ubese, we all knew it was you sneaking in to Jabba’s palace to rescue Han. Fearless and inventive indeed.
Imperial Entanglements is the latest expansion for the Star Wars Miniatures game. The official release date is March 17, but you probably don’t want to wait that long to check out Leia’s stats.
For 26 points, she offers an interesting mix of abilities. Evade and Stealth make it tough for opponents to hit her at range, allowing her to sneak in for some close combat. There, she can cut loose with her devastating Electrostaff melee attack, and if the enemy is packing any droids, they’re pretty much toast.
Imperial Entanglements will be smaller than previous Star Wars minis sets, only 40 figures total, and it’s focused on the classic trilogy, so plenty of your favorite (and obscure) characters from Episodes IV – VI will show up. Wizards of the Coast has already previewed Lando’s sidekick, Lobot. Better still, the miniatures set ties in to the upcoming Legacy Era Campaign Guide for the Star Wars Saga RPG.
Now, the Leia, Bounty Hunter looks great, but I’m a little sad that it doesn’t quite capture the smoldering expression on Leia’s face in this WotC advertising banner:
