Robot Viking Needs a Miniature War Game Writer

No, we’re not looking for a war gamer who’s under five feet tall. We need someone who regularly plays war games with miniatures, like Warhammer 40K and AT-43, to write about them.

I play a lot of games, but I can’t play them all, and one of the bigger gaps in my gaming experience is the realm of miniature war games. Most of the miniature games I’ve played have been of the “clicky base” variety. The popularity of Warhammer alone is enough reason for Robot Viking to cover this stuff, but there’s a ton of other great minis games out there as well. Hordes, Flames of War, I could go on and on.

So, we need a writer. I will be upfront and say that this is an unpaid writing gig. On the other hand, the work load will be very light – an article every two weeks or so would be sufficient, and you’ll get to write about something you enjoy. Specific topics would include previews of new releases, coverage or announcements of major tournaments, and strategy guides.

Here are the qualifications:

  • Currently play Warhammer 40K on a regular basis.
  • Any additional minis war games you currently or once played will be a bonus.
  • Must be able to write well. If you don’t have any existing writing samples, then write a short (500 word) strategy article and include it in your email.

If you’re interested, send me an email with your minis war gaming experience and your writing sample.

Well, this coincides with the gaps in my knowledge, so I’m unfortunately not your guy.

Hey, Silent, how did you get an avatar pic?

I’m no computer savant so please don’t pounce on me if this is technically wrong, oh graceful internet peoples…

I went to Gravatar.com and set it up using the same email address I use for this site account. I think it can find an account using the same email automatically and mine popped into the site the next morning (I set it up around 10pm, so I don’t know how long it takes)

Ah, I’ll give it a shot.
