AXE!

AXE!

In the interest of making Robot Viking a better gaming site (and gleaning some useful info about our readers), we’ve put together a brief reader survey. It’s quick, doesn’t ask for personal info, and at the end you can optionally enter your email address. Next week, there will be a random drawing of all the entered emails, and the winner will get a Robot Viking care package filled with random gaming swag (possibly some books, minis, posters and other cool stuff). Not only do you get to share your opinions and enter to win free stuff, but it’s guaranteed to be the most fun you’ll have in the next three minutes!

Survey’s closed, thanks to everyone who participated!

    HOORAH! Free stuff GO!

Also, Spokesmodel? Cosplay Robot Viking would certainly be different.

  2. Comment by Ed Grabianowski

I can’t believe I forgot to put “horror” on the genre question. Well, feel free to enter it under “Other.”

Will you announce the winner next week? (If they agree to be named?)

I look forward to more FREE stuff.

  4. Comment by Ed Grabianowski

Yes, only if they agree though. I’m hoping exactly 100 people enter, so I can roll percentile dice for the winner.

Percentile dice? Google image search dashed my hopes of a GIANT 100 sided dice. (Except something that looks like a tiny tiny ball.)

    2d10 man. Though I have seen d100s. I own a d30, too.

I own a d30, too. never found anything that actually needs one though. Anyway, Is the spokes model Mr. Grabianowski in a horned helm? because I would be down with that.

  8. Comment by Ed Grabianowski

Just to be clear, there’s a specific reason for the spokesmodel question and the way it’s phrased. I’ll post a full debriefing next week.

Already getting lots of really excellent info and feedback from this. Thanks to everyone who’s responded so far.

2d10, of course. We do that, but never call it percentile dice.

When I was a wee one playing TMNT percentile dice BAFFLED me– I came up with all kinds of d20 formulae until one day I ACTUALLY READ the intro pages & DUH– 2d10.

  11. Comment by ggodo

Well, I wouldn’t mind, I just really want to see a robot viking costume. that would just be awesome. Also, we always called 2d10 a percentage roll.

I second a Robot Viking costume, to be followed by a full line of action figures which will then lead to an iconic cartoon series.

  13. Comment by ggodo

    Strider’s got the right idea.

Survey completed, though I should have added that I’m still waiting to here more about that vehicle combat game you mentioned ages ago. Along similar lines, I picked up a couple of starter boxes of Aberrant’s new Warlands post-apocalyptic car combat game – worth a look.

I am unable to complete the survey. Once I press next on question 2 it gives me an error that I failed to answer a question or answered wrong and takes me back to the start. Answers were inputted for both (daily, and link from other site respectively).

Survey completed!! I love my percentile dice, the tens place is gold and the ones is silver.

OOOOHHH! and a Robot Viking webcomic!!

I actually have one of the aforementioned d100s. It’s pretty much a slightly dimpled sphere, not unlike an oversized golf ball. To prevent it from rolling forever, it’s filled with some sort of braking agent inside, so it usually only rolls half a table length. It’s actually pretty handy for Dark Heresy or Call of Cthulu, provided you give it enough room to spin…
