Blood Drive: Vampire Road Trip!

No vampires in Buffalo. Nope. None.

No vampires in Buffalo. Nope. None.

Blood Drive is an adventure for Hunter: the Vigil with a killer premise, a host of enemies (and frenemies), one sadistic yet redemption seeking bloodsucker, a freakish pseudovamp and her horde of psycho progeny. And to make it all that much worse, you start out in Philadelphia.

I know I’m going to get an earful from Philly-dwelling Vikings, but that’s ok. There are a few dozen too many Sabres-Flyers games between us for me to be apologetic.  All in good fun (but man, I really hate the Flyers).

Anywho, back to Blood Drive. Your typical White Wolf adventure is filled with intricate characters, conflicting motivations, twisted intrigue and creeping horror. This one is no different, but on top of all that, it’s built on a rip-roaring action movie premise that requires the hunters to transport a vampire from Philadelphia to Chicago and keep him safe from harm in the process. No problem. Except he’s hiding something beneath his mild facade and seemingly genuine desire to repent. Also, half a dozen crazed rogue hunters want to take him down, and his creator wants a piece of him too.

This is a nicely fleshed out adventure that provides a whole list of potential hooks to get your hunters on the case. All the encounters are lined up and organized with a flow chart. There are hand-outs you can print and give to the players. There are some new rules you can incorporate, too, like a new dread power and a new profession.

White Wolf does pdf adventures right. It’s fully bookmarked, linked and set up for easy printing. You can pick it up at DriveThruRPG for $6.99. Looks like a good way to inject some adrenaline into your hunters’ lives.
