Community Cup Coming Down to the Wire

June 11th, 2010 by Ed Grabianowski

I only have time for a quick update between rounds — there’s one more round of Standard left to decide who will win the 2010 Community Cup.

Yesterday’s Commander event went…strangely. I’ll have a full report as soon as possible. The end result was a near dead-heat between Wizards and the community team. We carried a ten point advantage into the final day. With two out of three Standard rounds over, it’s still very close.

My incredible streak of luck yesterday (undefeated in all Cup events, and I opened a Nissa and a Jace, the Mind Sculptor in a friendly sealed event, not to mention the foil All Is Dust) has come crashing to a halt. I’m 0-2 with a vampires deck (that I’m not especially fond of).

Round three is starting up soon. Don’t forget to follow along on the official coverage page, on Twitter, or in person on MTGO (the games are happening in the Casual-Casual room, and you can watch as it happens).
