The Lurking Horror Within the Tomb of the Sun

This hideous gibbering horror is what my gaming group will be facing later tonight. Why would they choose to confront such a heinous beast from the depths of some creeping, abhorrent dimension?

Right now, we only have these grainy images viewed through a Wizard Eye. Tomorrow I’ll post better photos and the full stat block for this nameless horror.

The party has entered into a place called the Tomb of the Sun to awaken a slumbering guardian beast, which they hope will assist them in overthrowing a cruel and evil drow cult. I shudder to think of the fate that awaits them should they fail.

  1. Well, we were able to burn it down. However, I definitely got the feeling that the fight could have gone South with a few bad rolls. For instance, if he’d hit my sorceress with that dominating attack or if Zuriel failed his saving throw to avoid falling off the cliff, we probably would have had some problems.

  2. Yeah, that was a pretty interesting fight. I made a tactical mistake, he had a power that created a zone of thorny poisonous vines, and he should have used it right away at the entrance to clog you all up.
