Draft Beer — Special Robot Viking Edition
Bob and John from GenerationD20 concocted this special segment of their infamous (or soon to be infamous) Draft Beer. They did an M11 draft and also put away a few bottles of Scrimshaw Pilsner.
Many thanks to the GD20 crew for putting this together. It’s a fun watch — plus they honored my request and found a good pilsner! A lot of the cheap, mass produced beers in North America give pilsners a bad name, so it can be hard to find good ones. Next time I’m out west I’ll have to try to find some Scrimshaw Pilsner — in the meantime, maybe I’ll order up some of their spicy beer mustard.
On to the videos. Enjoy John and Bob’s M11 misadventures. The draft is especially fun to watch, since the whole time you’ll be second-guessing their picks (not because they make bad picks, but because no Magic player can ever watch another player draft without second-guessing). Make sure to hit the full screen button so you can see the cards better (if you’re having trouble getting fullscreen to work, click on the video and watch it at viddler.com — fullscreen works for me that way).
Intro.
The Draft: Where Our Heroes are Not Impressed With Their Cards.
Round the First: Where Our Heroes Fear the Dreaded Palace Guard (Yes, you read that right).
Round the Second: Bring Out Yer Dead! (Oh wait, that’s us).
About Our Heroes:
Bob Jorgensen and John Matzen have been playing Magic: the Gathering for many years. Just not
consecutively. More episodes of “Draft Beer” and a ton of other neat stuff (comics, gaming beer, etc.) can be found on their site:
www.generationd20.com.

Oh dang it. I am an idiot. I didn’t get the “draft” pun until just now.
