Gen Con Heavy Gear Gallery
Check out this gallery of stunningly detailed miniatures from Dream Pod 9′s Heavy Gear booth at Gen Con (you didn’t think I was done sharing Gen Con stuff, did you?).
Meeting the Dream Pod 9 crew was awesome — they gave me a bunch of new Heavy Gear books to review, then presented me with a copy of the Blitz! rulebook signed by everyone at DP9! Plus, some of the guys gave me some Heavy Gear miniatures. My brother and I are working on assembling and painting them up so we can show them off here on Robot Viking. We’re not mini painting masters though, so ours will surely not look half as awesome as these minis which were on display at Gen Con.
My photos don’t entirely do them justice, partly because I was shooting through the glass display case, partly because you just need to see them in person to appreciate the level of detail and care that went into painting them. The minis were sculpted by Philippe LeClerc and Alain Gadbois, and Dream Pod 9 Art Director Greg Perkins painted these miniature masterworks. He has his own gallery of his work at CoolMiniOrNot.
